Due to the different opportunities presented to Black and Latino players before integration, the Hall Rating of these players does not accurately reflect their Hall of Fame cases. When possible, the Hall of Stats uses Eric Chalek’s Negro League MLEs to present an alternate Hall Rating for prominent early Black and Latino stars. Martín Dihigo has a 147 Hall Rating using these MLEs. The rest of the stats on this page come from real game data, not MLEs.

|About the stats|
Over the course of his career, Martín Dihigo pitched 402 innings and made 1,640 plate appearances. Dihigo was worth 22.9 Wins Above Replacement (10.2 as a pitcher and 12.6 as a hitter) and 15.1 Wins Above Average (6.9 as a pitcher and 8.1 as a hitter).
After adjusting for length of schedule, catchers, and relief pitchers, the 22.9 WAR becomes 37.0 adjWAR. Then, WAA is adjusted by ignoring negative seasons (thus, truly capturing a player’s peak seasons) and making similar adjustments for catchers and relief pitchers. After these adjustments, the 15.1 WAA becomes 16.9 adjWAA.
Then, the adjWAR and adjWAA are combined, but with extra weighting given to adjWAA. This gives Dihigo 67.4 wWAR. wWAR is then converted to Hall Rating. A Hall Rating of 100 represents the Hall of Stats borderline (similar to OPS+ or wRC+, where 100 represents league average).
Martín Dihigo has a Hall Rating of 63, leaving him short of induction to the Hall of Stats.
